I will never forget the afro curly haired kid who, still gasping from his victory in the 40 mile B&B tour, wanted to know what he had won,...I shook his hand and he looked disappointed for a split second. He recovered quickly and smiled. His poise has not changed - a gentleman and a cyclist. And he has not gotten any faster, he has just reduced the hair a little more each time.
