In my mind, Carole hit it on the head from my perspective -- the issue is respect. My wife and son are headed down Paluxy on a sublime Sunday morning -- they get honked at. I'm headed down 69 observing every traffic regulation, I get a Coke can thrown at my head. I move over at an intersection to allow a car to move forward, he pushes me towards the curb when the light changes. I'm like the majority of long haul truck drivers -- I have little, if any, respect for the driving public when I'm on my bike. In short, the road is mine too and I will assert my right to every inch of pavement.
